Video Blog # 47: The Vloggies after party

Here is some footage from the Vloggies after party. I had wanted to meet Paul Knight from pjkproductions, so I went and introduced myself. We had talked via e-mail before, but it was great to finally get to meet him and shake his hand.

I also "interview" Casey McKinnon from galacticast.com She notices my duckie that I had in support of ZeFrank. It is fun to watch her try to be accommodating to an unknown videoblogger, when all she wants to do is bail out of the situation. Funny stuff!

Video Blog # 46: The Vloggies!

Last night was the first ever video blog awards show, called the Vloggies. Anji and I headed up to the Swedish American Music Hall in San Francisco to see the show. It was really fun and totally cool and weird too boot. There was an after party too, that was really fun and I got to talk to a few videoblogger, but we could not stay too long as we had to get back to the little one at home.

In the video, I wonder if anyone recognizes me, I found out someone did. Bill Streeter, from Lo-fi St Louis. He watches Greg's Video Blog and actually likes it! That is really cool! Go check out Lo-Fi St Louis!

Video Blog #43: Interview with Ryanne Hodson and Jay Deadman

Here is a conversation/interview I had with Ryanne Hodson from Ryanne is hungry and Jay Deadman from have money will vlog. In this conversation we talk about Jay and Ryann and their history with vlogging and their future with vlogging. We also talk a bit about Scoble Show, Rocketboom , the Yahoo Videoblogging group and more.

Like all good interviewers, I blab on and on about myself, and Jay and Ryann can't hardly get a word in edgewise. Hey, it is the new web 2.0 style of interviews, it is a two way conversation instead of just one-way.

Video Blog #32: Chaos Lounge performs!

We went to a party last week and brought some instruments: the drum set, three amps, a guitar, mic stand and the mic. We were just going to have an informal jam session but at the last minute, Krissy talked all the girls into doing a Chaos Lounge one-song set! It had been a year since most all the girls had played, but they pulled it off and sounded great! Since you visit my vlog all the time, you of course know the pregnant girl who is singing is Anji, my wife. The baby is due in like 17 days! Whoot!

This video is the first one I filmed with the new video camera, and it is filmed in 16x9 wide screen. However, the video hosting place only posts in 4x3 standard, so the video is a bit squashed. Also, the .mov is a bit squashed for the download, so you folks that are on iTunes get the squished version. However, if you have subscribed in iTunes, you won't read this anyway.

For the killer wide screen, large size, download the .WMV

Remember kids, it is illegal to light off fireworks in Santa Cruz!

However, this video shows the power of the people. If everyone agrees to ignore the law, then we make our own rules and the authorities can't do anything about it! Too bad this mentality doesn't' spread to other things we need to change...
